Helen Kearney has a strong background in marketing and event management, and a passion for the outdoors and working in the environment sector.
Helen was marketing and event coordinator for the high profile Adelaide Symphony Orchestra for more than 10 years, and before that carried out a similar role with the Investigator Science and Technology Centre.
In her time with the ASO, she was involved in designing marketing and communications strategies to re-brand the orchestra, coordinating publicity and media liaison, print production and sponsorship management. Helen also ran launches and managed special events for the ASO, including the successful 4 Chefs 4 Concerts series.
Her passion for the outdoors has seen her climb a volcano in Patagonia, cross the Sahara, and sail from Adelaide to Port Lincoln. Her interests in this area have taken her back to study Environmental Management at Flinders University, with an aspiration to combine her passion and her skills on projects in the environment sector.
In her spare time, Helen is secretary for the Adelaide and Barossa convivium of Slow Food.
